Curriculum

This level introduces the foundations of Turkish communication. You will learn how to introduce yourself, talk about family and daily life, and interact in basic everyday situations.

Chapter 1: Tanışma (Acquaintance)

What you’ll achieve

Introduce yourself, greet others, and exchange basic personal information in Turkish.

In this chapter, you will learn to

  • Use basic greetings such as “Merhaba” (Hello)
  • Introduce yourself in simple conversations
  • Ask and answer questions like “Nerelisiniz?” (Where are you from?)
  • Start simple interactions with new people

Chapter 2: Ailemiz (Family)

What you’ll achieve

Talk about your family and describe your home and living situation.

In this chapter, you will learn to

  • Describe your family members
  • Talk about “Ailem ve Ben” (Me and my family)
  • Describe your home using “Evim” (My home)
  • Say and ask for addresses using “Adresim”

Chapter 3: Günlük Hayat (Daily Life)

What you’ll achieve

Discuss daily activities, time, and simple shopping situations.

In this chapter, you will learn to

  • Ask and answer questions about time using “Saat kaçta?” (At what time?)
  • Ask questions like “Nerede?” (Where?) and “Ne zaman?” (When?)
  • Talk about daily routines
  • Ask about prices and payments using “Ne kadar?” and “Kaç lira?”

Chapter 4: Çevremiz (Our Environment)

What you’ll achieve

Describe your surroundings and talk about simple plans.

In this chapter, you will learn to

  • Talk about local surroundings such as “Bizim sokağımız” (Our street)
  • Identify objects and locations using “Ne?” (What?) and “Nerede?” (Where?)
  • Describe places in your neighborhood
  • Create and describe “Bir haftalık planımız” (Our weekly plan)

What to Expect in Your Turkish Group Sessions

  • Final Exam: At the end of the course, you will take a written and verbal exam. A score of 70% is required to progress to the next level.

Class Terms & Conditions

  • Your Group Turkish course fee includes one digital copy of the learning materials. If you’d prefer a hard copy, you can purchase one from our recommended supplier at an extra cost.
  • Public group classes are designed for 30 academic hours per CEFR level. If the group grows to 5-7 students, we’ll extend the program by 10 academic hours. If only two students enroll before the course starts, the group will shift to a semi-private format with 20 academic hours.
  • Want to switch to a different group or schedule? No problem! Just let us know at least 7 days before the course starts.
  • All our teachers are native speakers of the target language. If your teacher falls ill or has an emergency, we’ll arrange a substitute who’s fully briefed on your progress.
  • Once you’ve started with your group, switching to another group or schedule isn’t possible.
  • Please note that course fees are non-refundable once the group classes have begun.
  • We can record group lessons for later viewing, but only if everyone in the class agrees before the course starts.
  • At the end of every program, you’ll take a final exam (both written and verbal). To move up to the next CEFR level, you’ll need to score at least 70%.
  • After completing your final exam, you’ll receive a progress report, recommendations, and a certification for your hard work!
